I went & played groom last year as my horses next door neightbour was competing. It was fricking huge! But then again I always think its huge. Even in comparison to the other ones hes done it was big, but not as technical & twisty as some of them Ive seen!
Er, it doesn't have an advanced as far as I'm aware, I think they used blue numbers to distinguish the CIC course from the Intermediate. It's quite big and bold, but not too difficult. However time is quite hard as quite a lot of it is in the trees. Oh, and the xc is within site and hearing of the dressage.
Well, on Boss it didnt feel slow slow but to be fair, I did pretty much just canter round as we werent planning on running so he wasnt that fit, plus it was sweltering hot and he had been lame all week *so well prepared*
Um, check the rules, but I think it's a max of 25 time penalties. I got 22.something when I went round osberton and I wasn't hanging about on a small nippy horse! There are a couple of big open fields to cross so as long as you open them up there, which I don't think I made a concious-enough effort to do, you will hopefully be ok.

Blimey, thats pretty darn good!
I'd offer the use of mine but the lining is disintegrating in a very serious way- my saddlecloth and my horse came out of the dressage arena black at Salperton
re. the bargain of the century, it did need some fixing!! i had to colour it in with black felt tip pen, and super glu the rim back on... but it fits well, and looks smart
the course was fine as two stars go last time i went, the water caused a few probs as it was in some trees and quite dark. if you jumped round gatcombe last autmn this will be no prob at all.
