What a day! Absolutely amazing loved every minute of it!
Dressage - Rocks warmed up beautifully and worked really nicely, went into the arena and did a beautiful test (best hes done with me) though did get very strong at times which he was marked down on and got 43.3 (not bad seeing as the last time he was dressaging on grass he left the arena!).
On to the er showjumping hmm well! Jumps 1-6 beautiful, came round to the double and said no about 2strides out, spun and then proceeded to go from one end of the arena to the other on his back legs hopping until he was sitting on the rope! People were actually running! *Cue embarrasing face* but (and im proud of myself i must say) i got him going again and continued on like nothing had happened, jumped the rest of it beautifully! Ended up with 12jumping penalties and i wont even tell you the time penalties!! Haha.
XC though was a DREAM. Just an absolute dream ride, that horse lives for XC and I had the ride of my life - jumped everything beautifully i really just had to sit there and enjoy it!

I've got all of it on video so once i've uploaded them i'll try and work out how to get them on here!
So now I just need to go out and get him showjumping and stop his nappiness before moreton in march! Xx

Well done!! shame about his little strop in the SJ!

QR - well done! Sounds like you had a fab day - my niece was competing in Novice class (on gorgeous coloured xc machine! In case you saw him!) There were also another couple of people from same yard as me.
Osberton is where we keep ours so we hack round there all the time - it's a lovely course, was built by guy who runs our yard - he was rather pleased with it I think!

Ha ha! We are rather lucky!!!!! It's a beautiful place - we can hack for hours and not see a single car!
My niece finished 6th in the Novice - bless! Finished on her dressage score of 35.7 I think?!

Wow must be amazing to have access to that all the time! Thanks, i'm really pleased with him actually - just got to iron out the nappiness in the showjumping but all in all not a bad first run! Really looking forward to Moreton now!

Ah, yes, but we don't have access to the xc course 'in season'! Unless you're having a lesson.
I'm sure you'll get your issues sorted out - think sounds like a really good 1st time out anyway! Your horse looks lovely, by the way!!!!
