Well after his surgery went well he's being kept in so we went and visited. They hed just changed the bandage so I didn't get a chance to see the wound but apparently there's veyr little discharge. He's moving about well which is fabulous. He is, however, bored mindless due to the stabling all being gridded doors so he can't watch any goings on except the mare&foal directly opposite him.

Meant to add this little pic

Thats great news hun. Do they have to flush the joint again or are they just monitoring him with antibio's? So pleased he came through the operation, I know how worried you were about the GA.

Will they let you take him any toys to play with like a decohedron ball or similar to help with the boredom?

All - thank you!

Yes the vet is happy with his progress although they keep saying the prognosis is guarded.

He isn't allowed home until Sundyay at the earliest

No more flushes unless it all goes drastically worng - he's on IV ab's and they're monitoring the wound.

No toys allowed as they don't want him kicking stuff until the stitches come out incase they burst. I'm going to get a lickit as that's allowed. Past of the problem is he'll onyl eat mix, cubes and licks - no interest at all in treats, carrots, apples or mints!

Glad to hear he's come through ok. You must be very relieved. My Oscar is facing a possible operation next week - I'm glad his namesake is ok!

Possible fractured splint bone.....I'll know on Tuesday when he's going in for scans etc.

Hope your O gets better soon and you can bring him home and give him lots of cuddles.
