Hi guys


I've been bringing my girl back into work over the summer after breeding from her and I've noticed a bit of general stiffness on the right rein shes also a little short behind in canter

I would like someone to look at her to check she isn't in pain but I can't even begin to choose someone to come out - it's so hard to decide

What is the difference between these two and which in your opinion is better

Any good practitioners in the NW/ Cheshire that you can reccommend from experiance ??

The equine osteopath have to train as human osteopaths and then do a conversion course (more letters after their name). If you're in or near to Lincolnshire I can recommend a fabulous woman- she even treats me!!!!

Blooming heck that sounds great as my left shoulder is killing me and I was wondering if it might be me causing the stiffmess as i've been locking that outside hand a little !! however Licolnshire is a bit far - we are between Manchester and Chester

Hello!

As the name suggested I'm an Osteopath (so not biased or anything :D ). There are some excellent physio's out there as well as not so good ones, and of course the same is true for osteopaths. I would say that osteopaths give a thorough/wholistic view of the horse and rider together. We also use various techniques to treat the whole body, rarely focusing on one part, as inevitably every tight bit will have a cause, and also a knock on effect.

I would actually have a vet to check her first, then go on his/her recommendations.

Also bear in mind some practioners require your vets referral/permission before treatment.
 
I've booked in with an osteopathy guy called bruce who has come recommended from a couple of eventing friends, I don't think I need to pay my vet to tell me shes stiff I can feel it I've been down that road before. if he picks up any things he thinks needs attention from the vet I'll be right on the phone
