There's a Reddit page I subscribed to but it's very USA based and mostly consists of people posting photos of their beasties. I don't bother with it very often.

I was on New Rider forum from the time I myself was a new rider aged 61. I was being badly bullied by an RI at my RS and three BHS AIs on New Rider rescued me and taught me to ride. Thanks to Facebook, I am still in touch with them and some of the other riders on that forum more than 20 years later. Sadly, just as I have got older, so have they. And sadder still, the horses I loved are long dead.

I follow along with the Tattle equestrian influencers threads but can't post as I don't have an account. I know Tattle has a bad rep but those threads seem mostly reasonable and have highlighted things that haven't come up on here so much; they have got me to question some of the vlogs that I have followed and other influencer accounts I stay well away from!

I used to be on EMG but that was many many many many moons ago and think it got shut down (was specifically for horsey people in Ontario). I dabbled in COTH as well but haven't been on in years and account has likely been deleted. Now it's just this forum.

I used to belong to some but I don't know if they are still going - Heather Moffet.

Dr. Deb Bennett from the USA, but she is a formidably intelligent person and if someone asks a question more often than not the answer is "work it out for yourself." Would we be asking if we could work it out?

I used to go on the Intelligent Horsemanship forum but got banned for being naughty 😂🤷‍♀️.

I used to peruse Heather Moffets before she started wanting people to pay and finding out she’s a bit loopy.

I hate the way things that used to be on fora have now gone onto Facebook or Reddit. I find it very hard and frustrating to follow or get good discussions going on those sites. I'd much rather a forum like HHO. It's so much easier to search previous discussions, catch up on what you've missed and interact with discussion on here.

I used to be involved with helping to run a forum for Dales Pony lovers. It was very friendly with lots of interesting and entertaining topics discussed. Made lots of good friends through it. Sadly it more or less disappeared when FB exploded on the scene. Now this is the only forum I look at.

I used to be on Saddle Up ( Janet George) many moons ago, but lost interest as Facebook boomed. I’m sure there was also one called Trot on, and New Rider.
I’ve only really embraced H and H forum in the last few years. It’s a great pool of knowledge and entertainment 🥰

When I got back into horse owning after a long break, about 13 years ago, I joined Cyberhorse forum [in Australia, as I am]. I still use Nick the endurance guy's homemade hoof spray to prevent abscesses when its muddy. But I left it due to some old pest who was rude to everyone, and who liked to drop a bomb in discussions and then just step back and enjoy the show. [no, it wasn't the Dressage Hub witch masquerading!]

So, these days, its only here, now. Except for 'Australian Dressage Open Discussion [formerly Victorian]. on Facebook. Has its finger on the international pulse, and is well administrated.

Not horsey but I was on Ravelry a lot. The chatting part of it more or less emptied onto FB, & that's how I ended up here. FB doesn't suit me at all. (Still use it to look things up.)
Tried New Rider but there seemed to be only 4 active members.

I’ve never found a better forum than HHO. I sometimes look at COTH but not so much these days. I used to be on the BD forum when I was a member about 15yrs ago. It was pretty much a bitchfest which could be quite amusing as long as you remained quiet. There were some quite well-known names on there sometimes. They then cracked down on moderation and it was much more civilised but became quieter.

HHO is a much more pleasant place than it was when I joined in 2009 and I believe from stories told that it was even worse before that.
