OTT or Perfectly Acceptable?

Having a, shall we say, ‘delicate’ horse, I’m always busy trying to stay ahead of the latest drama – be it injury or illness. With this in mind, my latest splurge urge involves covering him head to toe in sheepskin. Of course, I’m concerned that this would be a little OTT, so before I go ahead and slaughter the sheep, I thought I’d take a quick poll of all your opinions, first! I appreciate it may be a little hard to visualise, so I went ahead and made a collage to give you all an idea of what it may look like.

I think you'll find there's a certain user on here who has more sheepskin than that lol So I'd say it's fine, although have fun keeping it in good nick!

To be honest if your horse needs it then nothing is OTT. And if it were me id rather my horse be comfortable and people think it is OTT then my horse being uncomfortable.

Personally i love the sheepskin! It looks so pretty

Not for me, but I must admit (touch wood) my pretty mare is also a tough old boot!!! If your horse feels more comfortable with the sheepskin then I don't see it would do any harm. The sheepskin stuff you get that isn't just the wool, but is still attached to the leather, can be rather hot and thick so I would bare this in mind - esp under the saddle.
Not everyone's cup of tea, but I do think it looks smart though!

Ummm, what about the bridle? And personally, I would put some sheepskin under his shoes, to soften the impact everytime he takes a step. Go on - you might as well do it properly!

Definatley acceptable! I have one of those easily breakable ridiculously accident prone tbs! I am currently designing some sort of bubble wrap type outfit as he seems to be a hazard to himself at the moment!!

Hah, thanks! Sure can... could even put you/her riding Totilas, so long as I can find a picture of her straddling something - shouldn't be too hard
