Otto's day out! LOTS!!

I know I promised to stop boring you all, but he went to the beach today, so I had to make a post

The weather was absolutely dire, hailing, rain and wind, but I like the beach when it's like that, so off we toddled, only for the skies to clear and the sun to shine when we got there

He was a VERY good boy (apart from chasing the seagulls, and disappearing as we headed back to the car!) he said hello to another dog, but left it when told, he didn't chase the sheep in the car park (in fact they scared him alot!!) and he was generally interested in us, for a change

He even got some of my fish and chips and a bit of my ice cream cone

He is now absolutely shattered, flaked out in his bed

He's OK, still broke, but we get to go for nice walks

Otto was having a good day!!

Sweep still smells of the beach from the Bank Holiday - I'm sure when he goes to get his hair cut they will find sand, seaweed and shells in there!!

Otto was being very brave charging around in the water!!

Sweep went swimming - in the North Sea!!

He was being very brave, jumping the waves and going right in!!
I was actually a bit worried he might try swimming, the sea was VERY rough!! Huge waves!
He ran through the river and nearly got swept away, I was all ready to dive in after him, but he was fine

He fell headfirst in a rockpool though

Lovely pics, looks like he had a great time. I can't wait to take Evie to the sea but unfortunately all the nearest beaches (and by near I mean an hour and a half minimum) are always packed with idiots and out of control dogs so don't suppose she will be able to do much free running. Last time I took Buffy spent the whole time fending off dogs, all acocmpanied by owners shouting "he only wants to play". Buffy is so laid back she is virftually horizontal but don't think the Evil one would take it so well

That is the closest beach to us (I think) it is about 2 hours away!!
Part of the reason I like going when the weather is so miserable is that no one else is there!

Otto ran over to the other dogs, but he got within a couple of metres and wimped out!! He is very brave when it comes to strange dogs, so he lets then come to him then plays with them!

He looks like he's having fun, will have to be brave and take Henry to the beach again soon!

Mr. Otto looks to be in his element. The levitating snap is fab.

Stella is getting very excited now. Just three more weeks, and she'll be in beach Boston mode.
