I am now supporting two plasters on two fingers where both of the big neds have bitten me, you know, the type of bite that you hadn’t a clue where it came from

.

Little pony is fine (always is bless him) but the two horses really seem to be in a mood at the moment, is it the time of year do you think?

I'm so glad you sent this. I noticed mine has been in a bad mood recently and decided it was because I was in a bad mood, though I was sure I was in a better mood later in the week but she was still grumpy, this could explain it. She was clipped yesterday so she was in a bad mood as I kept her in for a couple of hours, how dare I! She behaved like an angel being clipped though, now she's happy cos she's out

Yes! He was in an utterly VILE mood last night really horrible.

I’m hoping though that a change of saddle is going to fix the problem, I knew it was on the cards as he put on weight but still doesn’t quite explain why he tried to remove my head when I was doing his rug!

Mine has been a mardy b*std recently, hes normally so sweet and funny - he is usually lovley and easy but at the momet he wont let me catch him and has bit me twice in the past two days! That and everytime i go to do up his rug he pulls the most miserable face ever and looks round like he is going to bite my bum! :S

Yes!! I've only had him 3 months but up until the other day he had been an absolute lamb.....however last night I had a snorting, fire breathing dragon on the end of the lunge line!!!!! He was stropey when I put the lunge cavesson too, refused to walk forwards to tie up, head waving, feet stomping, trying to bite (but missed!) I thought he was going to take off out of the yard!. Just glad I wasn't riding, think we would have tanked around the areana for half an hour! I've never heard a horse snort so loudly! He just cantered round for ages, then did beautiful extended trot for ages until eventually deciding he was tired!!! Mind you it made it easy for me, I din't have to wave the stick or anything!!
I'm not sure if its the weather/ not quite as much exercise (still exercised at least 5 times a week mind) or him just going through his toddler stage (4.5 years old) and trying it on. (He's not been clipped yet and I'm a bit wary he may be a bit fresh when I do now!!)
Ho hum......

he has been particulary grumpy lately with lots of face pulling at me, which is totally out of character

Again i thought it was down to me being cheesed off and my mood affecting him

Glad others are experiencing this, i feel a bit better now
