Ouch!! Broken again

I now have a dislocated finger, a nice lump on my leg, and a back that is black and blue

For once it wasn't thanks to Jerry!!

Horse went into bucking frenzy and did 6 huge bucks, dropped its shoulder then twisted and I had no chance, as I flew through the air it turned and kicked me (hence the black and blue back) got back on and it was fine for a while, tried a cross pole (as supposed to be taking it showjumping at the weekend) and it was fine but only trotted over it, then came again and this time it jumped it, landed and did a repeat of before (minus the kick thank goodness!) Got back on and came round again, managed to get its head up after the jump and push it forwards came straight round again and did the same thing, with it putting up less of a fight, so thought I would do it once more and came round and the clever b****r decided to get the bucks in before the fence this time, lasted 7 then that was it, hit the jump and dislocated my finger trying to stay on, it then turned and kicked out again catching my leg.

Got on again and eventually managed to canter round over the jump again and again till it didnt loose its rhythm at all then called it a day.

I ache so much, any healing vibes going spare?

Only ridden him 3 times, all hacks though and he was perfect. When he isnt bucking he is amazing, so kind of want to perservere, but they just come out of nowhere, he can be trotting round sweetly then suddenly - Bang!!! Ruled out any physical problems so just have to work on his brain I suppose

Had 4 more to do after him so had no choice, but fortunately all were very well behaved.

The worst was driving afterwards, changing gears in my horrible new (actually very old) fourtrak and the rubbishness of the suspension wasnt fun!

I am supposed to be having a flat lesson tomorrow and then jumping clinic on thursday, so hope I will be ok by then

tbh if i rode a horse that kicked out at me as i flew through the air, it would be on a short trip to the knacker's yard, and i'm not kidding. i've ridden some right so-and-so's but i've never ever had one do that.

Owner is very stubborn, and tbh I think it is reaction to some memory of pain, has to be. He isnt a nasty horse the rest of the time, very sweet to handle and do. Bit of a mystery really. First thing I had done was back as was convinced there would be something major there but nothing much. He is a seriously nice horse, worth alot of money, we just need to work out what is going on in his little head.

btw, have you sorted out Jerry's xc bit? just tried something new on mare and she loved it - kimblewick with lozenge in the middle, £14.50 from cotswoldsport on ebay, what a lovely bit - soft but effective, she was like a different horse in it. might be worth a try... just trying to distract you from your aches and pains. hot bath and a nice stiff drink, i reckon.

We had a NS universal in which is actually quite similar I suppose in action to the lozange kimblewick, but with a leather curb. Seemed to work wonders, but thanks for that, might be worth having to swap around occasionally if he gets a bit used to the NS
