Arghhh what a day!! First of all i find out i didnt get the job i applied for, then my horse smacks me in the gob, then throughs me into a fence!! Ouch
I decided as Annie was becoming braver with this jumping malarkey that we would venture into the other scary jumping arena to see how she went ... and there was no jumps in the other so that made our mind up to
It is very windy as were beside the motor way (You can see the tops of lorries as they fly past) and it was raining so very spooky according to Annie. Started with poles on the ground, this is her major faux pas, she for some reason hates them. Went towards them in a trot and she spooked at something on the other side and done a sneeky run out whilst wacking me in the face with her neck! So by this stage i have a very sore jaw and teeth
So continued to walk/trot over the poles, then moved onto a x pole and she decided it would infact be fun to completely ballon the tiny x pole, take off followed by a sudden halt, rear, buck, swerve, bolt!! I came off at the buck swerve stage into a set of potable fencing head first
Got up and wow i could barely see!! Annie just stood scratching her knee
Took about 5 mins to find my whip as it had made its way to the other side of the fence lol (il just add i rearly need the whip, its just there incase!!) Hopped back on, went for a few canters to settle her back, but apart from the towing me around she wasnt bothered by dismounting me at all
B*tch!! So went for the jump again and jumped it nicely with no more incidents. Finished jumping a wee vertical which she loved, so deffo no confidence lost ... infact thats the most eger shes every been when jumping
I was actually joking the other day that i might intentinally do a flying dismount to see if it helps my sore back lol but i can report it did not
So now a sore jaw, back, neck and arm ... oh and lets not forget the sand in my pockets haha
