Fell off my boy for the first time today - I've had him just over a year so not bad going! We were jumping and he tripped after the jump, really went down on his knees and hit his chin. I stayed on, got him back up but he spooked himself and shot off round the corner and I came out the side door onto the same hip I had a bad fall on 2 years ago. He seems fine and was apparently a bit confused as to why I was on the floor bless him! I got back on and jumped a little cross pole then hacked home slowly. Hurting now though! Hoping my already shaky confidence will be ok...
The thing is nothing he does is nasty, he's only 6 and on his forehand plus if he spooks, he runs. Guess it will just take time to get him lighter and braver. My instructor hopped on him at the end and got him going so light, he looked fab. Gives me something to aim for...
