Hello. I have had a wrist op and today asked a friend to give me a leg up onto my boy (bareback) in the indoor school, her 2 sons had been having a go on him and I just felt "the urge". She threw me so high I went straight over the top of him and the other side - landing on my ribs as I couldnt possibly put my wrist out to protect me (its still bandaged and stitched from op) and OH MY GOD I think I have cracked a rib. My poor horse just stood stock still wondering where the hell I had gone. I am an idiot and should know better. Sympathy ppleeaasseeeee.

Poor thing, someone did that to me when i was about 8 but you bounce a bit better at that age. Do you still have plenty of prescription painkillers left from the op?

Due to have dressings changed tomorrow so will stock up then! How come you can ride for 25+ years and manage but a stationary horse and wham, over the top!!
