Decided to ride my horse in the field tonight, as we dont have a school and didnt want to ride out.

Well she wasn't happy that her field mates were in the next field NOT being worked, so why should she!!

She wasnt listening to me at all, when i asked for canter she bronked, pulled her up and started again and she was fine.

Took her over a small jump and she bucked again, took her over it a few more times and she was ok, she seemed to have got it out of her system, so took her over the tyres jump, well as she landed she exploded!!!! and then leapt to the right and i came out of the side door!!!

My first thought was well the landing wasnt bad, till i looked up at lady and realised my foot was still in the stirrup!!!!

at that moment she took off up the field and i was dragged under her luckily my foot came free after about 2-3 strides, but i do have some nice shoe shaped bruises on my arm and leg and my thumb is swollen and also my ankle where my foot got stuck in the stirrup is swollen and painful.
so i hurt a bit, but i know that by the morning i will hurt alot

This all happened because she is a moody mare and doesnt like to work when the others arnt, as she is fine when someone else is riding in there with her, and has had a strop when being ridden on her own in the field before.

Ouch! Hope bruises are not too bad. I think you were quite brave jumping her when you knew she could be moody - I think I would have chickened out of that one!

You better be at work in the morning, LOL, i can't cope on my own all day again, i'll go insane!!

It has always been one of my fears too, very scarys looking at the underside of your horses belly.

And Missugoopy i will be at work tomorrow but not sure if i can write with my poorly thumb...lol you might have to do the writing for me!!

Oh poor you, hope you're not too sore in the morning. I think you're right about the moody mare bit - one of mine won't work in the field on her own either.
