just got stuck between my gelding and the gate as my little mare decided to leather him as I was bring him in. we were at the gate in the corner so no where to go as he panicked and tried to get away from her hooves. thank god he tried to avoid me as he squashed me between the gate and him, the gate fastening gave way so he went through. I however then went the other way back into the field to tell pony exactly what I thought of her:eek::mad: (and she was going to run through behind him).
I know them all so well and have only mine in the field so I have no excuse other than she usually listens to me (but I was daft enough to be on the other side of my lad) and she hasn't wanted to come in this week, I've had to go and get her so haven't worried about her gate antics:rolleyes:
my squashed ribs and the growing bruise will be a reminder this week to be more careful. could have been worse :(

easily done ... I did very similar 20 years ago.

How can I remember how many years ago it was? well I was 8 months pregnant with my son and spent 24 hours in hospital so they could monitor my baby. Got so many tuts and sighs from the midwifes and nurses ... didn't have the heart to tell them I backed my 4 year old PBA 4 months earlier!!

:eek::eek::D:D

did you try telling them you were just walking down the road minding your own business when 2 horses came out of nowhere and pinned you against a local gate..... I think I might have tried to blag that one :cool:

I got a right dressing down after I had my daughter 17 years ago for having an incredibly low iron count. they kept me in and gave me blood. the dr told me off, but they failed to do the blood test when I was pregnant (its not like I could check myself) and I had no signs or symptoms of having so little iron in my system! vey disapproving they were! :rolleyes:
