Gertie for short :D, and it had to begin with G as she's out of Grace (More Pokey), but I think she's damn lucky that she wasn't a he as OH was going to call it Grommit.

Would love to know what any of you breeding experts think of her - no need to humour me, honestly. ;)

Doesn't Grace look well?

*Waves back* thanks alwaysbroke, I was relying on you to say something nice ;) (btw I'm alive and well, just rubbish at replying to messages :o)

Tres elegant! Lovely big ears - always a good sign, esp. in a filly IMO lol. I had a great-aunt called Gertrude, we used to call her Auntie Gertweed, as she was always in tweed!

Thanks S_N, I too think that big ears are the sign of a good horse, or big everything in HH's case.;)

Eothain, sorry to disappoint you but that's not me, this is:

(bit of an "in" joke, that, so don't worry if you don't get it ;))

However I will pass on to H that she's been hit on in a cyber way, she'll like that.:D

WOT!!!!!!! No Myrtle too, how could you not include her?

Grace looks tremendous, greying out beautifully and Gertweed, alas, the name has stuck already, looks as if she'll be a bright young thing with everything in the right places as well as being a good Baydale colour.

Thanks FB, I'd like cute and trainable, ideally.;)

For Maesfen: here's what Myrtle looked like at the same age (maybe a few weeks older):

I haven't got any recent ones of her because she's been a proper little madam lately (making all the hunters fall in love with her and generally being disruptive:mad:) so she's not flavour of the month.

Poor Myrtle, who'd have thought she could be such a tart but if you really don't want her you can send her back here, she'll remember where she is.........................

Grace does stamp her stock too and she's maturing very nicely herself, you must be pleased with her.

She's lovely Baydale - proper jumping bottom! More elegant than Heidi - more petite than Hamlet! How does she move?

PapaFrita, yeah, remind me how "lucky" I am when she's 3 and we're trying to back her.

Maesfen - if you get a TNT delivery that needs signing for and the parcel moves, you'll know I've taken you up on your offer.:D

Thanks lindsayH, I don't think she'll go grey, I quite like her looking so much like her daddy. ;)

Thanks HHM , who did you use in the end (well not you personally, you know what I mean)?:o

Heidiham - I hope she's not too delicate as you know the kind of lumpy gelding I'm used to. Seems to move nicely enough, she didn't deign to move very far (princess!) The staff at Twemlows seemed to think she was very nice but I bet they say that to all their clients.:p

Thanks amandaco2, we'll have to hope she's not too delicate or too pretty to be an eventer eventually.

She is terribly pretty!!!! Saw Gra (whatever his name is) at the stallion parade at Bramham and he was v impressive, so hope she ends up as nice.

Fiona

The Graf babies are all so like him our colt is now five weeks old and apart from having a lot of white on his face so like your lovely filly. I may be mistaken but i do not think Graf has ever thrown a Grey . Our mare is grey and Fonzie is going white around the eyes but we will see .

Maesfen - the Man of the Moment for Grace is Wish Upon A Star. I might as well have a chestnut filly next time to add to my collection of girls.;) Bright bay boys are soooo common now.

Thanks K, she looks like she'll be uphill, doesn't she? Could her neck be any more vertical without her being a giraffe?

CILLA - They did say that she was v like him when I rang but I was shocked at how much so when I saw her in the flesh.

Fiona - "impressive", yes, he certainly has presence doesn't he and this little one is quite haughty.

Blimey, do you realise we've nearly managed a whole page of replies without a single Graf-damning comment. That must be a record surely? :D:rolleyes:

I have to say that the ones I have seen in previous years I have not loved but all the foals by him I have seen this year I have loved.

She's lovely! I love when they have the whole mohawk look going on! :D

In the pics is she at Twemlows? I seem to recognise the barn but might just be me...
The staff are very honest if they say she's very nice then its true, as everyone else has said too!

Had to LMAO at kermit.... ;)

Just seen this, Gertrude is gorgeous, she is going to be a stunning girly me thinks! And what a bottom already! :D
