So it's been just over 3 months since I sold Minnie, my wonderful 13.2hh mare.
I was feeling a little bit down on a drizzly Tuesday morning with the thought of looming coursework deadlines, muddy fields to be traipsed through and an empty car that needed filling with petrol; and so I decided to watch this "Goodbye Video" I made of our journey together http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1A6AM73NgA all the good and all the bad. It felt strange when it dawned on me that this was the first year in 4 years (just under 1/4 of my life!) that Minnie wasn't mine, she wasn't... there. And I got all emotional because you never REALLY realise how special something/someone really is/was until they've gone & watching that video just made me realise how incredibly lucky I am to be able to say that I've owned such an insane pony (insane in a good sense.. and a crazy sense).

So now I'm here just feeling the need to share this video because, I guess I'm proud; I'm proud of what we achieved, I'm proud I didn't give up on her like so many others did in her life & I'm proud to say that she was mine. (If you'd like to know more about our story then read the video description.)

Hm, mildly pointless post but I hope you like the video anyway!

Loved the video, had to laugh at some of your falls, well done for sticking with her, just out of curiositiy why did you have to sell her?

Thank you very much, hahaa some of them are amusing to look back on. I sold her because I was too big for her & I was out of juniors, she just wasn't going quite the same for me anymore and she seemed like her old-self when smaller riders rode her. I felt it was time we both moved on.
