Meet Frank..... so named because of his gorgeous ice blue eyes
smile.gif

He is going to grey out, but for now, he is a liver chestnut, with a big white face and the most beautiful blue eyes!

CM Blue Moon is going to be his registered name
smile.gif

His dam is Lady Tuthaside - an Overo Paint mare, used to be chestnut, but greyed out..... she is 3/4 TB, and looks more like a TB than the average Paint horse!
smile.gif

His sire is CM Bedford Forrest - a 17.1hh and still growing 3/4 Cleveland Bay, 1/4 TB stallion.

This is Forrests first foal so to say we are chuffed with the result is an understatement.

Frank was born on the 16th of January, and was sold on the 17th January - so that was pretty quick!

Anyhow, here is the boy for you to see:

Awww wow! i am quite jealous! i have a thing for unusually marked horses and he is just so striking. congratz

your foal is just stunning did you know that some Thoroughbred families carries the spash gene which is responsible for your little nes blue eyes. beautiful foal

Hehehe thanks guys

His mum is a Paint - so thats where his blue eyes come from
smile.gif
She actually has distinct markings on her - will find a shot of her - she has her overo markings on her belly and neck on both sides, and actually has a huge white blaze
smile.gif

Hehehe yep, he doesnt meet the breed standard for a CB - but as he is a CB Sporthorse - hes got more than enough blood in him which is all that matters!

I think his new owner is going to get him out showjumping rather than showing, and she likes ones that are a bit outside the norm!

Shes a bit stoked!!

Ok, heres daddy:

CM Bedford Forrest - by Forest Field Day, out of Killarnie Breeze (by Billara Padbury (a purebred by Gillshaw Caliph) out of a TB mare).

And mummy - Lady Tuthaside - Overo Paint Mare who was chestnut and went grey....:

Shell thank you for the photo of your staliion he is a handsome boy - and I love the mane makes for a much softer outline.

I have (Afondale Highlander - Tregoyd Journeyman-Baydale Tempest) his mane is lush and i cannot bring myself to pull it.

How is your youngster that was born there in France going Rollin???

Zulu - looking at your website, there are a few of your reference sires that you can see the CB influence in
smile.gif

We cant wait to see this young bloke out there showjumping in about 6 years time.....

Wow, he's beautiful! I bet you're over the moon and rightly so!
smile.gif

Enjoy every minute with him, foals are great time wasters!

She is an absolute little sweetheart so nice to handle but she is bold and independent.

I will post another photo soon and hope to take some video - she can't half move!!

We have a Shaya ArabxCB due in about a month.

Zulu and Shell. I have looked at your website. Some quality horses on there enjoyable viewing. Shell is right there are a few stallions which really show the 'stamp' of a CB.

Some CB's curl their tails over their backs when they gallop - a throwback to their Barb arab roots.
