Our first ODE .. and we won!

It was only a "Beginners" ODE with VERY small jumps

BUT I am still so pleased with Brooklyn (the bay in my sig). He behaved really well, despite being a bit confused about all this being tacked up several times and having to do dressage AND jumping on the same day

. He was relaxed in the dressage - though still not too sure about the scary white boards - and didn't even think about running out / refusing / napping back to his pals when s/j and XC (which is a big achievement for him).
We were one of the few combinations to finish on our dressage score, in a fairly large class, and I was stunned to discover that we'd won! Got a hay net and a bag of treats, which is another first - never won a prize as well as a rosette!
My ambition is to do BE one day - so hopefully this is our first step along the path to that Intro!
