OUR FIRST SHOW!

Hi. We have just done our 1st show, had him 3 weeks and so so proud. Boxed perfectly both there and back. In the 1st Class he behaved great all the time he didnt have to stand still, but didnt stand still when he had to! Judge commented on his perfect conformation, fabulous arched neck and his strides etc - told me I have a stunner and we will go a long way!! Came 4th (last) though. 2nd class he behaved impeccably and stood throughout the 13 others doing their show. No placement. 3rd Class he behaved impeccably again and we came 3rd out of 8. So so proud (and very very tired) Sorry, just had to share

thank you! apparently we wouldve been placed higher on the first show had we not gone into the dirty practice arena and ruined all of our grooming of white feathers that quickly went gray! i would put photos of him (and me looking rather smart!!!!!) on the gallery if i knew how! promising to investigate and will.......

Well done to you both & a 3rd is great!

MD's previous pony (a coloured cob!) didn't 'get' showing at first & wanted to follow all the others when they were called into the line-up, almost running the poor judge down at one point in his efforts not to be 'left behind'! lol

By his fourth or fifth class, he'd got the idea & was standing like a pro & happily waiting for 'his turn' to be called in!
He really seemed to enjoy it, which surprised me a little bit, as I thought he'd get bored & start playing up but no, he thought it great fun!
