He's called Edward and is a 16.1 hh IDx. He had a 3 hour journey but he seems very relaxed about the whole thing. He's had a drink and some hay and has now gone out in a paddock where he can see a couple of hunters and two brood mares and their foals. I am just off to the tack shop to get some bits and pieces and then back to see Edward and my other horse, Oliver, who is currently on box rest because he is lame. Any spare good vibes for him would be appreciated!

hi my new horse arrived on friday, covered in sweat from it being a seriously hot day, he loved his 2 hours pampering bath (feathers took 20mins each, tail about 40mins) and i nowhave recurrence of a years old, not occurred for years, dermatitis but do i care? no, cos he is worth it and i am smitten already, is it possible to fall in love so quickly??horses im talking, not humans haha. GOOD LUCK and let me know how he settles, it is hard watching and waiting for their first poo, pee, feed etc!

Aha ! have you converted OH to riding or was he already horsey?

Have you got any photos of the new arrival?
Sorry to hear Oliver is lame, hope he is better soon.

Good luck with your new horse TChamp. Have you got any pics?

Butterbean, OH hadn't even been on a horse when we met 5 years ago and when I first introduced him to the mare I had at that time he positioned himself behind a nearby stonewall for "safety reasons"! He soon realised that horses don't automatically eat humans though and since he came out from behind the wall he's made great progress. He can now handle our 17hh bolshy warmblood better than I can from the ground.

I am hoping that Oliver comes sound soon. Vet isn't quite sure what the problem is so that is a worry.

I will try and post pics of Edward tomorrow if I can take some good ones.

Hugs to Oliver.

Ooh looking forward to seeing pics of Edward!

Having recently taught my OH to ride I know how great it is when they get they bug, however having two can be a pain in winter so make sure he shares the jobs LOL!
