I like to see a man happy! :D;):p:)

TBF, I think, like the drought years we've had before, most animals look well because they are so much more toned because they have had to forage more than they would normally although I don't think we can say that about your pad, a veritable oasis of grass, lovely to see.

I will put some some photo's on of Presh later. B, I did put a post on Mrs Magoo these are for you. x

She is a little more TB than Presh but yes quite similar. x

I will also copy and paste the Picture of the week picture from last weeks Dorking Advertiser for those of you that don't know we are famous, a local took a picture of Presh and kent over the hedge and it won picture of the week in our local advertiser.

Do you have to be so bloody rude???

Arabs may not be your cup of tea (and they are not mine either), but they are other people's pride and joy. I'm thinking about Cruiseline, who breeds them & HTobago.

Why descend into insults? What's the point?

That's why I'm not a big fan of forums and chat rooms, things you say are very often very easily misunderstood as you don't know enough about the person or hear the tone of the message. I don't think it was meant in any offensive way (and I'm not trying to defend SS, just seeing the smiley face at the end of the sentence..)...cheer up people, don't take everything personally, if you knew S&S you probably know that they are lovely and open-minded and not about to offend anyone:o

Sorry Ginnie, but I thought you of all people would know my tongue in cheek humour, after some of the threads we have both contributed too.

Also only put that post as a reply to a post that had NOTHING AT ALL to do with the subject.....

Ok, Ok!

I have to admit that the post you were responding to was oddly.... out of place.

And, it does say "sarcastic" when you hover over

And I do normally enjoy your fun poking, but this, I felt, was a bit too strong... well, a LOT too strong. It didn't feel like a joke & made me uneasy, putting myself in the shoes of the many Arab enthusiasts on here.

So I will back down a little (but not completely, let's call it a compromise) and accept that perhaps I am a little sensitive at the moment... *** toddles off to reach for the Regumate ***, but you are to agree that you were perhaps a bit insensitive!!!

Arabs and French, volatile breeds ;) ;) ;)

English, insenstitive :) :)

I highly recommend you watch the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie, it has a fantastic line in it: " It's English...let's not get our hopes up" I watched it with two Americans, a Canadian and a Belgian guy...we nearly P***d ourselves while the rest of the cinema crowd was oddly quiet:D

ROFL, I can just imagine it. This country (and a lot who live in it) have just gone so PC it's ludicrous. Very few have pis$-taking down to a fine art anymore and even fewer can take it, very sad.:D

PS: I thought S was getting at me for using one (a very special one I might add) so didn't rise to the bait! :)

At least it was S's thread to go off at a tangent!

Yes and yes, it's usually some other poor soul who's wondering how the heck their serious thread got waylaid by idiots on the way.
Come to this house and anyone is mercilessly ribbed from the minute they step over the threshold; you only have to ask SN and ToffeeSmarty for confirmation of that - so, if you can't take it - and give it back, don't come here.

You have no idea!

Well, I'll take that as your part of the proposed compromise ;)

Ha! I don't do PC, I argue for things I believe in, because I think it's the right thing to do... like for example, respecting other people's feeling. How horribly outmoded

When people are happy to upset others for the sake of a joke without giving it a moment's thought, then, THAT is very sad indeed... And when their mates join in with demeaning comments about the injured party, saying for instance that they can't take a joke, then, that's bullying... Nothing to do with political correctness, not at all ludicrous... just good old fashion school playground politics. Plenty of it on this forum, saddly.

Interestingly enough, none of the Arab breeders/enthusiasts have come in to back me up on this... perhaps they are happy for me to argue this case on their behalf (me, who dislikes Arab horses nearly as much as I dislike injustice!), or perhaps, THEY are not PC and can take a joke??? - or perhaps they just don't give a toss about Simsar's new mare because it's likely to be just another skanky Irish horse  - and THAT was sarcasm, by the way!

The Regumate is not working yet...

Was that a complement MF??? :D

Was that a complement or a compliment??? Sorry couldn't resist ;) Don't you just hate those know-it-all foreigners?

If I had gone to school for long enough I might have learnt to spell, or even find the spell-check!!

Now come on Ginnie you know I'm no bully and the suggestion is not fair!

I will let the skanky Irish comment go as you do after all mix the beautiful ISH blood with filthy dirty WB  :D

The cheek of it and from a foreigner

Get out, you can leave now! ;)

Now now, play nicely you two.

Ginnie, if you look, you'll see that my reply was to something Bumble said about Pirates of the Caribbean, nothing else.

My other comment was about my home and the way we pull each other's legs, again, nothing to do with here so please don't see slights where there are none. There's no need to fight any corners for anyone over what I said if you look closely enough.
I very much have a tell it like it is sense of humour but I hope I'm never knowingly cruel to anyone because of it, if so, I apologise.

This forum was so much better when it actually told others who you were replying to, so much simpler as this sort of thing happens all the time now, someone taking offence over what someone said and it wasn't meant for them at all let alone it was said tongue firmly in cheek.

Simon, I know you are not a bully. And I believe you didn't think what you wrote might be offensive at the time you wrote it.

However, I'm sure I and Sportznight are not the only ones to have found it offensive. I'm glad you are willing to recognise that you were insensitive to others' feelings. Unfortunately, your more commited friends had rather defend you nail & tooth than accept the tone of your post was not entirely fair.

Never mind...

I'll now go home... and that would be Norfolk, which to some, is a foreign country indeed :D

BTW - had you used a spell-check, it wouldn't have picked up "complement" as wrong... it IS a word, just not the one you meant ;)
Signed: a bloody foreigner who went to school way longer than she should have...

Thanks for straightening this out Maesfen :) and by the way, Freda is bloody gorgeous...

I will now go home and take that Regumate :D

Believe it or not, I actually text him to take it down rather than make a comment about it on here.

I do need committing though, I'll agree with that. :D

Thank you for the comment about Freda, I think she's gorgeous too.

Thank you, yes, that's what happened, I was very lucky to be in the right place at the right time. Freda's only going to Simsar's for a couple of years and solely because I've had a mare back from loan which was very unexpected and OH bought some Hereford heifers which are taking up some of my grazing space so it's helping us both out by also giving Tara someone to play with while she's down there.
