So sad for my little girl, although it has allowed me to take a step back.

You may remeber that we had found a pony for my little 4 year old girl.

Well that has now fallen through, the passport was never forth coming from the prevous to last owner :(, so present owner has decided that he will be better keeping it, as it was getting too messy ( not sure of the details, seems a bit strange)

So in short I am kind of pleased that we may have escaped some heart ache in the future.

She wanted to show her, but now this has happened, I have now got my horsey head back on ( thank god), she is a very pretty pony, not great hocks and would be no good for pony club.

So I guess my ' marry in haste, repent at leisure' came just in time.

If anyone knows of a good all rounder at a reasonable price please pm.

Other than that, I am surprised how my heart ruled my head, I will not make the same mistake again

So easily done, I'm glad you now feel relieved not to have proceeded, I've had a couple of bad buys this year, both ended up in returning to dealer through no fault of my own and at a great loss of money. It is now hard to dare to buy again much as I want to and i wish you every success in what is the minefield of buying, even more precarious when buying for a little one, hope you are successful soon

Sounds like you have saved yourself and your daughter a lot of heartache!

Fingers crossed the perfect pony is just around the corner :)

ETS: I'm sure sweets and ice cream will help ease your daughter's pain. Oh to be 4 again!

Thankyou again, to both of you....if it had of been me then i would be ok>>>>>>

It was me..

I am not soo good, and , this is why I am soo glad that she is showing promise.

Live you and all every one says

on a lighter note - you remind me of my favourite "wanted" advert which went along the lines of "wanted, first pony, must be very safe and bombproof for overly confident child and highly nervous mother!"

LOL, that would be me!!

Sorry your pony fell through, see it as it was not meant to be and the right one is waiting around the corner - these things usually happen for a reason. Good luck in your search!

I've recently found a super little companion for my rescued shetland Molly. Although "only" a companion, the new little shettie is a sweetheart with even the tiniest child, is backed and ridden, cutie to look at, unfazed by everything except me stupidly trying to measure her girth (for new felt saddle) with my DIY extending steel rule. I wanted to "rescue" rather than buy a 2nd pony and found little Luest Lady at my local horse and pony trust. If you have one near you they may very well have many ponies that would suit. For Lluest Lady, she is checked regularly and always stays the property of the Trust but she is a permanent resident with my little "herd" now. Worth a try x
