However, he is just lovely, bright eyed, curious, amazingly sound and really sweet.
He's been kept living in his own filth and I can not describe the smell of him when we picked him up yesterday. My sister and I had gone to look at an unbacked horse and took the horse box cause, well, how much point is there doing 2 visits to one of those! However, knowing how things are not always as they seem, we'd booked into see this little chap who was in the area as we know someone looking for him as described in his advert.
Well, we could NOT leave him.
We've spent the day hot towelling to try and clean him up, sorting out the matted hair, clipping where his skin was just horrible underneath (since they'd started anyway
And we have the best farrier in the world who can out on a Sunday to fix up his feet.
