So having prepped the lorry and psyched myself up for the first event of the season, only for it to be cancelled, I decided to go cross-country schooling at Minderhout instead, and found a friend and her sharer to come too. [note to those thinking of Minderhout CIC*/** in May, closing for applications is this coming Friday].
Weather was very good, made a nice change, and William had a ball! He was rather wary of the bright blue ditch at the coffin, but got bolder through it, and the big hairy trakheners were fine. The scariest sight of the day for him were the numerous horse-drawn carriages that kept going past
.
Friends horse was DELIGHTED to be out, he's only been cross-country once before but put in some eye-watering bucks and I was quite glad I wasn't on it!
Wills warming up:
Looking a tad wild:
Generally having a great time:
saw a bit of a long 'un, hence position
