Once upon a time you could have holidayed here, we had quite a few people from the USA. I ran six holiday cottages for 13 seasons, it was really hard work believe me.
Now they have long term tenants in them and much less to do.
We have just come inside from the swimming pool one of the perks left over from the cottages!
Dartmoor is full of places to go, things to see, despite living here 16 years there are still loads of places I should really go and visit.

hi Tharg, Jezebel was picked out as a foal by my husband and he has been handling her since then, she is very sensible and last night CCJ was home from work early so climbed aboard for the first ridden session (husband got his heel smashed last year so is reluctant to be first on as he has a lot of work planned like tiling and I will murder him if he can't do it!)
She was good as gold, trotted round the arena off the lunge , which is not normally how we start them, but didn't seem to make much difference.
She might get ridden again this evening but if not will go hacking over the weekend, as she has front shoes on now.
I think he has high hopes for her, but if she proves too quiet she will be for sale.
She was lunged over some fences this week and has a nice pop.
She is very people friendly and follows him everywhere without a headcollar, I argue that it will one day bog off and he will see the error of doing that, but for the last three years it's acted as his personal helper, he used to sling six full haynets over it's back and it would stand there waiting, then follow him round to the yard so he didn't have to carry them...(men and their horses...
