B@stards, I am fuming, and feel violent and sick....all leather work gone, saddles and bridles, but nothing else (rugs, boots, hats, apart from my collection of spurs). I cannot believe it, sometime between 7.30 and 10, they damn well knew what they were doing, and they stole mine and my friends wheelbarrows.

Does anyone know of any horse fairs on tomorrow? My beautiful Butet has gone along with my Sabre, my very distinctive Cotswold Sport red and black bridle, all my spurs, another 3 bridles, my Back On Track black numnah and then there are at least another 8 people's stuff too AND to aid more misery, my damn wheelbarrow

It has my name on it.

How awful. You poor thing.
Was your Butet stamped? Most saddles like Prestige, Devoucoux are all individually stamped. Speak to Sederholm ASAP as they should have kept a record of everything iincluding yours that passes through their hands as they are the only Butet dealers in the UK.

The Butet should hopefully be easier to track because they are not as common.

Already sent them an email lec, am hoping as it is so hot they may dump it somewhere, but most people won't give a crap and will be happy to have such a nice saddle

J, I need bridles! I think you may be seeing me over the weekend with cheque book in hand!

Shall post it on another forum I use Weezy for people to keep an eye out

Appleby's this weekend I know that much - really hope you get it back!

You never know especially with such a distinctive saddle - keep an eye on ebay as well! It's the sort of thing that would attract people!

What s***s, Am sorry to read that you & others have had your tack stolen, what kind of lock up for yr tack do you have!!! will you be covered by yr Insurance company... down here in Surrey before xmas there was a lot of tack theft's going on, so i always take my tack home now, such a pain as in and out of the car all the time, as nowdays they will brake into anything. keep an eye out on E-bay, free adds ect ect...

YO is adament that the tack room lock was insurance worthy, but I think they just cut it off as the bolts are all fine
frown.gif
If my insurance company tell me that it wasn't enough there will be hell to pay....mind I haven't actually informed my insurance company of my new saddle (worth £2k) so won't get full pay out on that, and I haven't ever told them I have tack in another place, so knowing my luck they will tell me to F off

Sh1t Weezy - so sorry to hear this. I know exactly what you mean with the washing machine stomach feeling.

Sometimes they take things 'out of area' to sell so will keep my eyes and ears peeled.

You don't have any pics do you? That way I know exactly what I am looking for you can PM them if you prefer.

(Hugs)

OMG! D:<

That is so pants and poo. Whoever those horrible people are, I hope they get squished by a horse tomorrow! That is so sick. I feel so bad for you. My sympathy is with you, but I doubt that'll help at a time like this.

I can't believe someone could do that - it's disgusting.

>:(

I'm sorry to hear you've had all your tack stolen, it's a nasty shock when you discover something like that has happened.

We had 3 saddles lifted from our livery tack room a couple of years back. It was during the evening when the alarm was off and tack room open but the yard was very quiet. 2 of the saddles were ours and we claimed the full cost on our house insurance, it might be worth looking to see if your tack is covered on yours xx

Thieving b*stards!!!!

I feel so bad for you, it is the last thing you need right now

My tackroom was raided a few months ago; they just took saddles. Still haven't managed to replace my dressage saddle
frown.gif
Tackroom is now triple locked, alarmed, security light (we can see the tackroom from the house), and all the saddles are chained to the wall.

Will keep my eyes peeled, fingers crossed you find some of it, or that your insurance pays out

ETA: What size bridles do you need? Any certain bits (what size)?

Crap... it makes me so angry

I second tryng the house insurance, you probably wont be covered over £1000 (as on most policies you are supposed to stipulate anything worth in excess of) but i certainly know people that have claimed in the past.

Good luck, lets hope we find the scum and your tack with it!

oh no!!

im so sorry to hear, theving bastards! makes me sick! :-|

i would go to appleby which is on at the weekend...and check on ebay, hopefully they will turn up

So Sorry to hear this, it must be gutting! Have you got pictures of you stuff esp the red and black bridle? It might make us more able to recognise it should we come across it.

Re the bridle
There were only 40 Red & Black ever made (10 full and 10 cob)

No one else does the headpiece padding in colours apart from us; so if you see a second hand bridle like this for sale its probably Weezy's:

Having seen the bridle in question on Ebay

I shall keep my eyes open for a 2nd hand one

Still mad on Weezy's behalf that this could happen on top of all the other cr@ap she's had to deal with

Saddles and bridle piccies, best I have...

But it had a flash strap on! Same bit was attached, and the reins have the red thread running through too and are knotted on the end.

Looking for pic of my sabre and other bridle now
