Beautiful!

Brought back wonderful memories of my time riding in Cyprus (sadly I never really thought to get many pictures!) them was the days x

Oh beautiful!! I'm not envious as I look out the window at the wind and rain.... Don't come back here!!! Save yourselves!

And I'm also amused to see that saddlecloth, you have lidls in Tuscany?! ;)

It looks so like where I used to work in Italy, at an equestrian centre which was in Fiano near Lucca. Where abouts are you? I loved it out there. I also au paired for a summer near there in a village above Pietrasanta. Possibly my fave corner of the world, and I'm a long haul stewardess who has seen a fair few corners of the world!

Haha in a way I'm going to miss it here soooo much but I'm at uni most of the time anyway (horses will be joining me end of the year) and I'm a soppy moose who misses her mummy too much so hopefully coming over to find an equestrian property and turn us into a proper horse-y family ;) haha I'm definitely going to miss the weather though :(
We do actually have lidls out here - a great step into the outside world for Italy ;) although I did buy it in England :D

Oh I've heard of there! I'm up in the province of Massa-Carrara near a town called Aulla :)

So thats what a blue sky looks like?!!!!!

Beautiful thank you for gloating- i mean sharing! :o

Gorgeous horse!

Thanks for the comments :) Thanks :D I love it out here although soon we're up-ing sticks (again) and moving back to *ahem* sunny England :)

Where abouts did you ride in Cyprus?

I kept my horse at Drapia Farm in Kalavassos just outside Limassol, fantasic time, used to walk out of the yard through a stream and straight up into the mountains where you could ride for hours and never see a soul....sigh;-)

Lovely pics - reminds me of a holiday in Tuscany a few years ago where we went riding near Lucca. Have just been out to change horses rugs as they are soaked right though - no riding here today! I would stay there if I were you.

I have very few photos (too much time galloping hell for leather up mountains....sigh again!) but do have a few that were taken for the Farm Brochure when I was there.

The Orange and Lemon Groves
We used to ride out and on our way back pick Oranges and Figs off the trees for breakfast!

The Mountains
We had one ride we used to call the "White Gallop" 2 kilometres on a winding path up the side of a mountain, you would gallop to the top and pull up as you reached the plateau at the top you could see to Pafos one Way and Larnaca the other and it was spectacular.

Strange how riding in Holland never really got my juices flowing;-)

Thanks for all the lovely comments :D

I'll pass the compliments onto the big fat grey mare ;)
Who is being dragged out of her paddock for another hack today...she has a hard life ;)

ChavHorse- Your photos are beautiful :D I used to live in Cyprus before we came here :) did you know the stables down Larnaca way, at Dhekelia? It was on the army base.

I remember it well in fact I bought one of my Cyprus horses from there! He was an ex school horse called Maios who had become very adept at dropping his shoulder and landing the officers wives onto the ground, he did not last long there. I had him and he turned into a lovely hacking horse then we discovered he had dressage talent and I gave him to the instructor at Drapia Farm as she loved working with him.
