Out of line Pelvis, Now slightly lame? Advice? Causes?

Can a vet tell if there is a problem with the pelvis without scans etc?
I ask as my vet mentioned my youngster has a slightly uneven pelvis, no treatment was recommended and I now have a insurance exclusion.

A vet - or anyone really - can see if the pelvis is out of alignment by using visual and tactile markers. As stated by FfionWinnie above, viewed from behind one hip may appear higher then th other, or there may be uneven musculature. Viewed from above one hip may be held in advance of the other.

However to see if there is something structurally incorrect, you would beed a scan or x-ray.

Is it fair to get a insurance exclusion for something not properly diagnosed?

Potentially, just because it hasn't be scanned doesn't mean there isn't a problem. It is one of those things you could argue to be removed after 12 months clear of issues.
