Whilst watching my two boys have a lesson today, a little hoard of children came into the viewing area to do their stable management part of pony camp. Points of the horse was the subject. They happily discussed hocks, withers, heart, fetlock etc. Then one little girl piped up.... "Do horses have a brain?" Instructor and I exchanged knowing glances. ;):)

a friend had fb status about her kitten having his manhood chopped away and another friend of 26 yr commented saying "do you think cats can come!!!" so I asked how she thinks her kitten was born! I do worry some times haha!

Now that's just disgusting

Mmmm yes, I was more thinking about a 7 year old child's response. But your friend's comment is a little . :o

I think the girl was probably meaning do horses have a mind, now that is an interesting question. I have spent 40 years trying to figure it out.

That is a very good point. I don't want anyone to get me wrong, I adore my horses and horses in general. But they aren't always the clearest thinkers in my opinion. They learn well and memory plays an important part in their lives. But they don't work things out the way that say cats do. :)

I do admit though that my Sec A is the brightest of my current herd. He has worked out that if he dumps children on a regular basis then he doesn't have to do much work and being hard to catch results in extra feed.
