outdoor riding arena

I am about to start building an outdoor arena. Before I start i want to gather as much information on the the drainage plans as i can. Can any one advise me or even better has anyone got any copies of plans.

I reccomend not using shredded rubber! Our riding school just resurfaced their's with sand because the rubber was so awful on rainy days!

Why not rubber??

Ours is sand and rubber and its fantastic! It never ever floods even in all that torrential rain we had a few weeks back!

Don't know much about the drainage but that underneath the surface which is rubber and sand there is a lot of hardcore and some different sand and it all drains to the ditch on the left through pipes and i'm not sure the underneath might be at a slight angle to get it to drain this way? Not particularly helpful sorry!
