My yard provides rug racks in the stables for storing rugs but baby Humfrey likes to pull them off and dance on them or eat them so can't have anything left in his stable. I have been storing his rugs outside in a plastic garden storage box which has worked but got smashed up and I need a replacement. I've found that having a chest style box means that the contents get wet when it is opened in the rain so I'm on the lookout for an alternative. Has anyone got any suggestions? It needs to be waterproof and robust enough to stand being opened and closed several times day.
Thanks

I used to use a large wheelie bin when my horse lived out 24/7 and I had no facilities. I bought the largest I could find which cost about £80. It held about six 6'9 rugs and was totally watertight. It was lockable too.

I still use it for storing clean rugs now even though I have proper rug storage.

I have a metal feed bin. It does open with a lid on top but things stay mainly dry because there is a bar to hold the lid up a bit. Like the bar that holds a car bonnet up and I know exactly where everything is so the lid is not open for long. It does not leak no rats get in and things do not go mouldy. Tack is in one section, rugs and grooming kit in another and feed in the third section. It was expensive new but I have had it for years and it still looks new and is so lightweight that moving yards has not been a problem. I am very pleased with it.

Keter outside stores - either the bench type stores or the ones that have two doors and a lid if you have a lot of stuff

Although they work best if place on level/hard surface
