I am being good and not posting this in CR

My instructor has suggested that Bob needs some tendon boots for SJ in (never bothered with them for any other horse I have owned!) so just wondering if anyone had any recommendations please?

Also Bob is tending to over-reach when jumping. He is wearing cheap-and-cheerful over-reach boots which I bought for him to wear out in the field too, but he is still managing to just scrape the skin off his heels

ETA - I have checked the fit of the boots carefully, and they do reach right over the heel etc! So any recommendations for more robust ones please?

Many thanks

i use eskadron tendon and fetlock boots they are very hard wearing as my mare brushes a lot as well. they look smart and have a flexisoft bit at the top.

when i was looking my instructor said any tendon boots would do as long as there is give in the top of the boot at then back.

i was using some cheap roma material like over-reach boots as the rubber one rub saf but they suck in all the water and get heavy so i have still havent found an answer. but she doesnt wear them in the field anymore so she copes with rubber ones for when she is jumping.

I bought some overreach boots on ebay, can't remember the make but they have a kevlar coating (thats the stuff that makes police vests bulletproof, lol) however they are made of soft foam like material so don't rub and wont rip or break- perfect!

The woof wear kevlar OR boots are certainly durable (mare over reached firs time she wore them, can see a gash on the inside of boot but not a mark on the kevlar outer coating).

However, they don't sit right, and spin round so that the velcro is at the back and gets all bent and worn. I am hoping that my saddler can sew a 'bobble' of neoprene into the middle of each boot to stop them spinning, otherwise they are £25 wasted.

Really britestar!!

Mine spin after less than 5 min, so that the fastening is at the back (the velcro is getting creased and damaged, and I'm worried it will rub the back of her pastern).

Your horse must have differently shaped feet (Flo is a skinny TB).
