morning all.

I need advice as normal guys...

i like my mare to wear over reach boots when turned out as she is a silly one and is always nicking or grazing herself. But as she is out at night and in during the day the dew over night is obviously making her feet wet are not able to dry until i take the over reach off. can any one reccomend a different boot? i had thought of the westropp ones and the feet would prob dry quicker caz there is more air getting to the feet?

do you mean the boots are not drying or her feet?
sorry if i sound stupid.

I have rubber ones on my lad so it doesnt matter if they get wet and hes been fine in them.
in a lovely bright blue colour, always helps if shes prone to getting them off!

I know what you mean, all around the heel area stays very wet as the water gets underneath but cant evaporate through the rubber. I have the same problem as I leave them on 24/7 as he tends to pull his front shoes off without them. In the winter though I just take his back shoes off.

I would be interested to hear some reccomendations on this too

They sell them all in one turnout boots, don't they, I wonder how long they take o dry out beacuse I think they are made of neoprene or some other fabric. I wonder if them new leather look synthetic ones would dry out quicker, woofwear and eskadron make them, they look really light and breathable? Not sure really?!! Sorry!

I have this exact same problem and I was a bit bothered about it with all of this wet weather we're having, at the moment I just take them off and dry his feet/heals whenever I can - not ideal.

well ive seen some turn out socks which might be worth a go but if the legs and heels got wet, would they be able to dry? im quite lucky alice has a very long back so shes not oo prone to pulling front shoes off but at the mo im having to take the over reach off during the day while shes in. I know it may sound lazy but i would normally keep them on all day long as, as we all know 1st thing in the morning every min seems to count lol. on a different note i just spent £70 on 1 PAIR!! of new exercise boots for the horse! o dear
