Hi my horse has to wear over reaches as she has bar shoes but one of her heels is really sore :( I though once it has healed that I'd get some pastern wraps to put on before the or boot!! Does anyone do this?? It seems like a great idea but is it??

Thanks.

Don't have an answer but feel your pain. My mare pulls shoes off even in stable so wears overreach all round in stable and field. The stable ones are fluffy so not a problem but her rubber ones have rubbed. As she gets mud fever I am dreading mud as now she has a rub the bacteria can easily get in :(

Yes am dreading first full winter with a sensitive skinned ginger tb. Got her mid winter last year. Somebody suggested a sausage ring instead to stop her pulling shoes off but would think this would rub just same

Were they rubber ones? Mine used to get a sort of heat rash from them, he has neoprene ones now and it doesn't happen at all. (and they don't break constantly!!)
