Does anyone know where i can get a could pair of over-reach boots for my 15 hands connemara x throughbred mare.she always seems to get after cross country cuts all on top of the hoof and usally knocks her two front hooves toghether.thanks!!:)

You should be able to get over reach boots at pretty much any feed merchant / tack shop. They are also called bell boots if that helps. You can get pull on styles (which in my experience simply pull off again!) or velcro styles. Roma and Shires are the most common - of which I personally prefer Roma.

But I wonder if they are not really what you are looking for? If she is knocking one foot into another and cutting the tops of the hooves she might do better with brushing or full XC boots? An over reach boot ends at the top of the hoof so might be a bit limited in the protection offered.

agree, you can get several types but would suggest if she is cutting herself you get a tough pair with a soft underside to ensure previous cuts heal properly, otherwise anything around the coronet band could rub. I always tend to stick with Woof Wear - they are generally tough, durable and don't cost the earth - Roma/Shires tend to copy their designs or so it seems!
