I've bought many over reach boots and found them to all be too small for my horse. I measured his pastern and it came up at just over 14". That is huge when trying to find the right size boots. ?
I looked at the woof wear XL today and they did seem big but does anyone have any that they could measure or does anyone have recommendations. Not looking to pay loads for a pair as he will most likely wreck them within a week! ?

When I worked in a tack shop I remember the neoprene bell boots made by Horze had big big sizes. Wonder if they would fit? They’re thick and really robust, my boy goes through the plastic/rubber ones on a weekly basis but these hold up much better!

Oh, might it be worth looking at the Westropp petal overreach boots? I'm not sure how big the straps are, but I'm sure you could fasten two together if they're too short.

Woof Wear XL fit my 15.3hh ISH but I wouldn't say he has huge feet. If you find anywhere which has some 4XL let me know as I need some for the Friesian!

Just came across this - did anyone find anything that fits?

I need a pair of over reach boots for a tanklike cob. Shires Arma XFull don't do up by about an inch, the Big Horse Shop 4XFull are sold out, WoofWear XFull also don't do up.

Hi Surbie,

I managed to get a second hand pair of the big horse shop ones on facebook by putting an advert up on the clydesdale horses page! They are fab, really heavy duty and fit really well - he has nearly got through a full shoeing cycle without losing a shoe for the first time in a long time!! He does tend to stand on them and pull them off but I would rather that than him pulling the shoes off!

The Big Horse Shop are restocking then from June too so you should be able to get some soon! I might get another pair too as a spare pair!
