My daughter's horse sustained an over-reach on Thursday whilst XC schooling in preparation for an event on Sunday. The injury is to his near fore where he struck his coronet band and is approx 1cm in length. Whilst there doesn't appear to be an infection and the horse is sound at walk he is intermittently lame at trot.
I have advised my daughter that she should not compete on Sunday. However, she is keen to bute up and hope for the best.
Any thoughts? Thanks for reading.
