Over the counter ulcer supplements

Once you've treated and cured them with vet intervention - gastrogard and antibiotics if required - then I think settlex is the best 'reasonably priced' supplement. The only one with any clinical trials and proper research to back up efficacy is Neigh-Lox, but that is mega-bucks. Settlex has all the same ingredients bar one, and is a fraction of the cost. There are large numbers of other supplements on the market, so you'll get a lot of feedback on this. I wanted something where the ingredients were openly stated on the packaging and website by the manufacturers, and which mirrored something which is known to work. I won't buy supplements which don't have a full ingredients list on the website and packaging. My horse had grade 4 gastric ulcers (glandular and splash) and after being cured, the settlex has been really good at preventing recurrance - he evented to intermediate last year with no problems at all.
