I posted a few weeks ago looking for somehwere to get schoolmaster lessons. Due to circumstances I couldn't go to where I was planning in the end and booked a lesson with Claire Lilley instead as she's fairly close.
IT WAS GREAT!

I had so many 'lightbulb' moments in 45 mins it was like a disco going off in my head! It gave me so much hope that I'm 'trainable' because I feel I progressed a massive amount in just one lesson. If I carry on at this rate I'll be in the 2012 Olympics! (joke).
I will most definately be going back - especially as she's so close.
[toddles off to buy all the Claire Lilley books / DVD's]

Oh that’s great news, just shows what lessons can do for you! Wouldn’t be without mine, I really enjoy them, and no way me and Bodey (my coloured below) would have done as well as we have without them.

Didn't do anything spectacular because I'm just trying to sort out some of my frustrating bad habits - one of which is gripping up with my legs in sitting trot and canter.
I was on the lunge, mostly in walk and trot. Going through my position and what I should be doing with my seat. Managed to do lots of sitting trot. At this point I tend to grip up and lose my stirrups but that only happened a couple of times and nowhere near as bad as usual. It doesn't sound much but that habit has been bugging me for ages and now I seem to be very close to a solution.
I felt that habit was really preventing me from improving anything else in my riding. Now I can see a solution to that problem I feel I can start to improve other areas.
