I've got a yearling who has got very long legs and not such a long body and he seems to be overeaching, will he grow out of this or will he always do it? He doesnt seem to of always of done it only noticed it recently and it wasnt picked up on the vetting though not sure it would of been? Thanks

It wouldnt have been commented on in the veting as its not lameness, injury or illness.

I think he propably will 'grow out of it' in a sense, but most horses OR at some point. but as you say he is still gangly so give him time..
Wish mine would grow outta it..

hope your yearling grows out of it. I ride a horse that overreaches verry badly. I never take her out without leggprotection, wich she manages to tear appart anyway. Lateron you could let her practice "where do i put my hind hoove?" so she gets to know how to solve these things herself and not hurt herself.
