Has anyone had an overground endoscope performed on their horse or seen one done?

My mare is having this done on friday as she is having breathing issues when worked on a contact, but fine on a long rein, so this is the only way to investigate.

As I have to ride her during it I'm just curious to know if people found that their horses rode any differently?
How aggitated did they get? Can't imagine its nice to have something poked up your nose & then being asked to work :D

Thank you!!

Mine had one done this summer, he looked like warhorse!!! It was a fascinating procedure, thankfully my horse is a very tolerant chap and although it's not pleasant for them, he worked reasonably with the kit attached

thank you!
not quite sure mine will pull off the war horse look being a 14hh coloured! but she is quite tolerant & always willing to please so hopefully she will behave :S

anyone else?

We had this done with coloured in my siggie. He is quite a spooky horse but was perfect. Nottingham uni did it. I had to gallop around a massive field for ages. It showed his speed and distance travelled and I was given a cd. They decided he needed a laser hobday. This was also stress free but it never really helped and I couldnt afford anymore treatment so he is doing quieter work and is fine with that

Thank you carthorse! Its nice to know a spooky horse can cope with it. Shes having it done at home so hopefully that is one less stress for her. I'm just desperate to get to the bottom of it now as the issue is such that I can't even ride her, and being a good doer she is rapidly piling on the pounds :(

Have witnessed it on several racehorses; without exception everything went smoothly and answers were found to questions that had been stumping people for ages.

You have no idea how happy that sentence makes me feel! I seriously hope my horse doesn't try to disprove you!
Thank you!
