Madam Carrie Cat has commanded me to inform her loyal fans of the above - and also that a Royal Poo and Wee were noted at 0630hrs!
She's not been told about the expedition to the vets this afternoon, though . . .
Off to P@H to get some more of the tuna steaks when the early morning traffic has cleared, and then prepare self for the wedging of a Very Cross Cat into her carrier prior to her being chauffeured to the vet this afternoon.
Just dotted her worming medication between her shoulder blades, whilst she was distracted by Cheese Dreamies. She's not impressed at all!

Madam Carrie Cat has instructed me to inform you that after a couple of mouthsfull of tuna steak, she didn't like it anymore . . .
Today's expedition to the village shop included buying a bag of cooked King Prawns. MCC looked them over and declined to eat them. Still very keen on Cheese Dreamies though. She's now rationed to six a day. Water (both rainwater and tap water) still being drunk with enthusiastic regularity, and weeing at regular daily intervals.
I've told her that she's getting to be A Very Expensive Hobby. MCC replied that she is not as Expensive as The Big Orange Clattery Thing. Yet.
Vet assessment appointment now on Friday morning as yesterday unable to get out of car park due to Thames Barrier closed and a very high tide became double its' usual height. Flooded car park and oversized dumb barge on a low loader was wedged solid in the yard entrance gates. Not sure what happened there. It's not stuck today, anyway!

Madam Carrie Cat's update: refusing prawns, but eating tuna. Now on the bunk, fast asleep. Oil-filled radiator on her starboard side, me in layers of clothes and watch cap to port.
Not at all spoilt . . .

Can you try warming the food slightly, apparently it makes it smell much stronger and makes it more appealing to anything fussy or feeling under the weather..

Thanks for your reply, I'm Dun. I've just checked MMC's supper dish. All the tuna steak has been eaten! I've debated putting another one in, but I've decided not to. I'll leave it to 0600hrs tomorrow morning and see if she's minded to eat any of it.
Fingers crossed please, for us tomorrow. We're off to the vets for MMC's work-up.

So pleased MCC ate the tuna 🍣 (that’s supposed to be tuna!).
Good luck for the vet’s visit 🤞🤞🤞
Thank you. MCC has left today's breakfast tuna, but did lick it thoroughly! Wee, but no more poos to find.
I'm dreading the vet visit. The receptionist kept asking me questions about MMC's health that I have already told them, told me that I had to pay for the visit before I could be booked in and, in a raised voice, told me not "to use that tone with me!" I had just said that I had already answered all these questions x 3 and were they not recorded? To be fair, I was a bit shorter in my tone than I should have been . . .
The wind has dropped off, but the tides are at extreme levels. At the moment, we are at -0.4m and the pontoons are \. I have to leave the barge in an hour when the pontoons will be even more \. Not looking forward to any of this.
MCC is still bouncing around, very chatty and affectionate, jumping up and down on/off the bunk.
Please deliver equal measures of "curtain therapy" (pull oneself together!) and positive vibes.
Many thanks.

Thanks, I'm Dun. I'm on the tidal River Medway on outside moorings. It's been pretty grim, but we've survived and are still floating to our marks.
It's lovely here, with a splendid view of the North Downs. The neighbours are (with one exception!) supportive and helpful and I have very reasonable mooring rates.
Off to try and wedge MCC into the cat basket!
I shall report back later today.
