Overreach boots

My horse lives in overreach boots to prevent pulled shoes.
Unfortunately he has a sense of humour and likes to pretty regularly remove / destroy his boots.
I tried really cheap rubber boots to save money but he breaks them even more quickly.
Can I have suggestions for cheap(er) but durable overreach boots please.
Im loathe to spend lots on them because I doubt they’ll last all that much longer than the really cheap ones (the KM Elite ones fitted nicely but depending on his mood they might last a week or they might last a month, the cheap rubber ones last between 1-10 days….today one lasted 3 blimmin hours!!)
Dont care what they look like, they can have my little pony on them for all I care. I’m shying away from neoprene ones because they look like teeth magnets.

Neoprene are actually quite good and so are these ones, ill find a link

You will get them cheaper than that, shires will last decently though

Mine also lives in her over reach boots, the above have now lasted for at least a year. I swap to another pair to let them dry out when required but overall I'm pretty impressed. Ordinary ones last weeks at best. Size up if your not sue as they aren't generous.

I'm afraid the neoprene didn't last, they did the job but they have huge chunks missing within a week from damage.

Does he destroy the pull on styles as well? If so that is some talent.

I've found the pull on Saxon ones (about 10-13 GBP) are a bit thicker and more durable than the other ones around-- they are not easy to get on though and I guess that is the point. They last ages. I think the full rubber ones can't be beat when it comes to letting things dry out. No velcro, no weak points.

I like the Woof Wear pro overreach boot-- it is pretty durable and holds up in wet Scotland outdoors, but being neoprene it holds on to the wet. The colours are nice and they clean up really well.

What about trying the old fashioned westropp petal type?
- I’d they are still made! That way you can replace damaged bits but I found years ago that with no pullable Velcro the horse lost interest in trying after a while. I had to replace straps occasionally.

I haven’t tried pull on, they probably would be teeth proof. I’ll have to brace myself to get the thing on in the first place.
I suspect the petals of the westropp boots would be a desirable play thing in my horses eyes.

I’ve changed my serial boot destroyer over to the armas ones and so far, so good
They’re around £10 a pair.

Otherwise I’ve got a pair of eskadron ones that seem to be lasting okay. They were around £30 though

My horse at the time didnt even need them lol , i just liked them, i bought a purple pair and a white pair and sat and alternated them, they looked so funky… at the time

I smoother cribbox on one of my horses turnout boots/ overreach boots, otherwise he takes great delight in chewing at them, ripping them off and then throws them over the fence. Just have to remember to regularly reapply.

I use these for turnout! They’re great as they don’t hold mud and I just keep spare parts rather than having to replace the whole thing. I tried riding in them to relive my youth and jeez that clicky-clack is annoying these days! Still made me smile though…. but definitely now only used for turnout!

Umm, no neither did mine!, the one i went onto use them for turn out did but the original certainly didn't, I probably didn't know what over reaching was!
