Hello :)

I have a problem in that my monkey of a 5yr old has a festish for removing her overreach boots in the field and she will literally do ANYTHING within in her means to get them off... The problem I have with the velcro ones is they are childs play for her she just lies down and pulls at the velcro till it comes off but if that doesn't work she nibbles her way through the rubber (I have caught her at it)

Now Holly wears over reach boots because she often gets a bit carried away with herself playing and has been known to pull her front left shoe off from overreaching...

TBH I am at my wits end I can't afford to be buying a new set of over reach boots every week just so she can destroy them...

I nipped up to central to try and get pull on ones for her but the lady said they don't make them anymore...

Does anyone else have a rubber munching shrew like mine and has found a cure for it? Cribstop etc wouldn't help as this is the same horse who ate a bar of saddle conditioning soap last summer and likes to lick off any cream you put on cuts...

Here is a pic of the shrew herself!

a smear of mustard on them? :o

Have they really stopped making pull on OR boots (or did Central have an own brand, sorry not familiar with the store)?!
I just bought 2 pair a few week ago, they would be too small for Holly or Id send you a pair ;)

She told me they had stopped making them! I should probably google them and see... another friend has just suggested sausage boot but im sure she would just gnaw through that aswell

The westropp petal boots are good however I am not sure that they would be deep enough to prevent the shoe being pulled. The added advantage is all of the separate parts can be replaced.

I was just discussing them with a friend they might be a good idea but like oyu im not sure they would be long enough.. I am getting close to just duct taping round them!
