14.1 connie mare, barefoot, MINIMAL work atm due to pregnancy. Pretty happy with her condition wise considering the lack of work and in summer field.

currently gets handful of honeychop lite and healthy, handful of pony nuts, Equimins advance and then agnus castus.

My pony nuts are about to run out and I’m thinking do I even need to replace them. What are they actually adding?! But I’ve always given nuts and chaff without even really thinking about it.

So...do I buy more, do I buy maybe a fibre nugget instead? Or just forgo any kind of nut and stick with my chaff and Equimins?

And lastly am I just thinking she doesn’t look so bad considering she’s essentially out of work? Should I be cutting back on hay? She’s currently on ad lib on the floor but I could pop some back in a net to slow her down and reduce amount slightly. B9EEDE01-919F-4864-8556-5D1651531784.jpeg

I think you are giving her everything she needs in the Equimins so you just need the Honeychop to carry it and make the meal last longer.

I'm assuming the pregnancy is yours not hers? (Congratulations)

Just be aware that you might not be able to get the Honeychop for much longer. We have been told today that there won't be any more until autumn. However I wouldn't feed ponynuts over the summer.
Interesting! Is that due to supply? Luckily I bought a bag the other day and the last bag lasted me a year ?

I’d drop the pony nuts as well. I’m feeding hifi molasses free and a cup of balancer and some grass nuts soaked to my youngster just now. They are lasting ages as I don’t feed loads ?
