If it was being towed surely it's a trailer not a box....?

I got caught up in that this morning, just after jct 13.
Had to kill the engine of the horsebox for just over 30mins while they were dealing with it.
When I eventually got going & up to the accident, there were deep gouge & scrape marks on the m/way from lane 1 zig-zagging across to lane 3. The trailer was on the hard shoulder with 4 police cars in attendance & it had the top of the front & half the roof ripped back, there were 2 ladies holding horses (anything from 15 - 16hh) which were happily grazing just off the hard shoulder.
No idea how it happened, hope they got the horses recovered okay
