My own stupid fault really but I was mucking out Leo yesterday and I went to lead him out of his stable. Didn't have a leadrope, just a headcollar and something upset him. He pulled back, I didn't let go quick enough and he threw his head up violently, shot backwards and I flew up into the air and landed flat on my front on the concrete in front of him.

TBH for a moment I wanted to shout at him but it wasn't his fault, so I got up, took a deep breath and limped off to get a leadrope like I should have done in the first place.

Now I have a bad neck, my ribs ache, a massive knee bruise and the ball of my thumb is really swollen. Totally my own fault but feeling very sorry for myself today. Plus everyone at the yard is mocking me for being pulled over by a fat pony.

Yowch. Why do horses only do this kind of thing when we have an audience! Me thinks you wont skip the lead rope option again... Hope you recover quickly. x

Ouch!!! Hope you feel better soon...... but that'll teach you to get the lead rope! Think we've all done it at one time or another though! So your not alone!
