I’m looking for a weekend break for DD and her new pony, with onsight instruction and guided hacking. Does such a thing exist? I would go with her too but as non ridden.

Cob is lovely, really helping DD’s confidence but she really lacks hacking experience. I can go on foot but that’s very different to going out with another pony or in a group.

We have amazing hacking on our yard but it’s a small yard and no others to go out with due to schedules.

Pony is ace out and about, very steady Eddie but I’m holding her back on foot (and I can’t cycle where we go).

It’s a real shame she’s missed this part of her education. The riding schools near us have stopped hacking, bar a little walk around the block.

Have you tried your local Pony Club? Joining up will give you access to other families with children of a similar age in the area who might be able to hook up mid week.
Maybe post on your local horsey groups? If you were local to me and you posted asking for someone to hack with, I'd happily offer - bring pony to ours and hack out with me and my children. Or the other way around. It can't hurt to ask!

That’s a good idea, I’d not thought of that! Thank you

Where are you based? I know a few places in North Yorkshire but obviously that's not much good if you're down South.
