Following on from a vet post about acorn poisoning, it turns out that one brave owner actually TASTED an acorn

to see what the big deal from a horse's point of view was! I confess I tasted my girl's Formula 30 Electrolytes the other day

> likits (yum, I love them)
> Horselyx (big mistake - they smell lush but taste foul)
> Barley is good if you are really hungry - we used to eat handfuls of the stuff when I was a working pupil.
> Course mix (wouldn't recommend)
> Pony nuts (ok in small doses)
> Sugar beet (not as nice as it sounds)
> grass and hay

Am tempted by Polly's joint supplement as it smells yummy but not quite got the nerve up yet.

Um... Freak warning!

Pony nuts, equimints, molases, horsebix, lickits, most supplements I've used, coarse mix, milk pellets, oats, barley, most pony treats taste pretty good and I have had a lick on a salt lick.

Well I like to know what my horses are eating!!! Admittedly I did sample most of them while I was a teenager and going throuogh my 'weird' phase but every now and then (at the responsible age of 29 so should know better) I will just sample something & then wonder why the hell I feel sick afterwards

Hmm, most likit flavours (garlic euuuew!!), pro pell plus, molasses, electrolytes, the salt lick, cribox (bleeeurrgh), absorbine show shine-accidentaly, sugar beet, bran...we got bored making feeds!!

My brother once tried smoking steady-up! He said he could see why it made no difference to my mare but it had quite a nice flavour?!?!

I always have the first lick of a new Likit!

The new Xmas multipack has toffee apple & gingerbread in it - I honestly can't wait to try them! Not in such a rush to try the Xmas pudding flavour though!
