owner change on passport

Don't think I have ever paid for a change of ownership - I had one registered with SportHorse of GB and one with the Irish SJ association, just sent the passport back and told them my details.

That reminds me, haven't had Josh's passport changed but it is a French one so probably won't bother!

It will say on the front of the passport the PIO (Passport Issuing Office). They all charge differently! I have two with the Icelandic Horse Society, one with the Donkey Society (even though she is a Clydesdale x)!, one with the Horse Passport Agency and one with the British Driving Society. You will need to fill in a form and the previous registered owner should sign it and then you send it off with the passport and the relevant fee to the PIO. The charge will probably be around £10.00. Each PIO has a different form. -

Unless it is all horribly out of date and the previous owners details aren't on the passport - like mine

I changed mine last week and was over 2 years late in doing it, but they didn't mind. The person I bought him off never registered the sale at all, so they went back to the previous owner to check before issuing me the sticker.
